Audi Announces Price Of 2017 R8 V10 Spyder As On-Sale Date Nears

When the awe-inspiring Audi R8 V10 Spyder was introduced last year, the company did not set a price but promised to disclose that information before the sales on the car starts. As the on-sale date of the cars draws near, Audi recently announced the car's price which is set at $176,350 including all taxes and registration.

As reported by Motor Trend, the superb R8 Spyder car by Audi has the same engine installed in the Audi R8, a huge 5.2-liter V-10 that generates 540 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque attached to a seven-speed S-Tronic transmission. The Audi R8 Spyder can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in a fast 3.5 seconds.

Audi has improved the R8 Spyder's structure by improving its carbon fiber- aluminum architecture. The R8 has a light chassis that has higher carbon fiber content and the car's sills, A-pillars and windshield frame have been reinforced.

The new Audi R8 Spyder is definitely a lot stiffer than the previous R8 model. The cockpit is oriented to the driver just like in the R8 Coupe and is fitted with displays that show information to the driver at the fast rate of 60 frames per second.

The Audi R8 V10 Spyder is also installed with Audi Connect, a 4G LTE connectivity system with destination paths through my Audi, travel information and Wi-Fi connection for the passengers. This makes the Audi not only a fast car but an elegant vehicle able to please users by its high-tech information system.

Those interested to have one of these magnificent cars should watch for the start of the Weather Tech Sports Car Championship which will coincide with the launching of the Audi R8 Spyder.  Last year, the Audi R8 won the GT class race.

At the Rolex 24 at Daytona race on January 28, Audi R8 starts defense of its title. The result of the race will surely have no bearing on the price of the Audi R8 V10 Spyder which has already been set at $176,350.
