Emoji-lovers, here is what you have been waiting for. The perks of updating to iOS version 10.2 includes the added hundreds (not just a few) of emojis redesigned and added.

Along with the launch of updated tvOS software for Apple TV, Apple also began rolling out the latest version of the iOS which offers the expanded lineup of emoji to iPhone and iPad users. According to TechCrunch, in iOS 10.2, there are hundreds more emojis to choose from, including more diverse characters, more emojis representing different professions, more food, sports, and animal varieties, as well as the more anticipated emoji like the facepalm, shrug, selfie, clown faces, whiskey glass, etc, removing the need to use the symbol "#" or hashtag to describe something.

The iOS 10.2 update brings full Unicode 9.0 support, meaning, those emoji have been approved by the regulating body that decided how our pictogram-based communications shall develop.

Included in the new characters added, Apple has redesigned the emoji in iOS 10 to "reveal more detail." But this update became controversial when people discovered the new peach emoji - famous for sexting, because it was shaped like a butt - looked entirely different in one of the iOS 10.2 betas. Now, Apple decides to bring back the classic peach butt.

In addition to the iPhone and iPad, the emojis can also be accessed with the software update available on the Apple Watch and Mac computers, according to Mirror. Users who use the upgraded Messages app will now see that it offers predictions for suitable emoji as they type the words, a Tap to Replace feature which lets the user "emojify" any message and emoji that appear three times lager within a message when sent on their own.
