Casting calls in Spain and filming in Corbet-Banbridge, Northern Ireland, "Game of Thrones" Season 7 spoilers revealed that there will be another epic battle featuring thousands of local Spanish extras. Is the production team cooking up an army? If so, for whom?

Where To Find the GOT Stars

Filming for the upcoming flagship series of HBO's "Game of Thrones" season seven is currently filming as we speak. Set at a common place where the "Riverrun" episode of "Game of Thrones" Season 6 was set, the stars of the much-anticipated series are currently located at Corbet-Banbridge in Northern Ireland.

Hints of the whereabouts of the cast and crew were revealed when a group of them made an appearance at the O2 Arena in London to witness the fight between Gennady Golovkin and Kell Brook. Those who went to the event were the showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff, actors Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), John Bradley (Sam Tully), and Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei). The latter took to Instagram and published a snap of them together in the event.

Casting Calls In Spain

In other news, Watchers on the Wall revealed that the production team had made a casting call for Spanish locals to partake as extras in the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7. The said announcement was confirmed by ModExpor International through their Facebook page, which stated that the "Game of Thrones" production team were on a lookout for extras in Caceres region on November 14 and December 15 from nine in the morning through two in the afternoon at the town's Municipal Sports Hall. Furthermore, the announcement also indicated that there will also be casting calls for extras in Cordoba for the Almodóvar del Río filming and another in Seville.

The "Game of Thrones" production team was said to be looking for men who were in slim, in good physical condition, with those with military experience being preferable. Furthermore, women with long hair were also needed for filming as well.

Other specifications indicated that the attendees need to be of common hair color without streaks and those with natural hues, men should be willing to cut off their facial hair, they should be locals in the area, and that those with visible tattoos will not be permitted.

Warning! Spoilers Ahead

According to Winter Is Coming, the "Riverrun" episode may be featured in the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Although it might be a doubtful question as to why the series would tackle the "Hold the Door" episode, rumors suggested that since Walder Frey is dead, the show may take on the topic as to who would follow the reign of the Freys.

The said casting calls for the venue in Caceres were said to be filmed as King's Landing and other venues such as Westeros' Old Town.

Casting Calls - What For?

  •  Daenerys' Army

With respect to the men casting calls, they were said to portray the Unsullied, a part of Daenerys Stormborn's army. Since specifications indicated that those with military experience would be a plus, it could suggest that there will be a battle scene near the water where the specifications would be relevant and a good physical condition would be an advantage.

  •  Ironborns

Since it was theorized that the casting calls wanted to employ men with Spanish descents and with military experience, it could also be possible that the army being formulated could be for the Ironborns.

Judging from last season, Yara and Theon joined the army of Daenerys on their way to Westeros. It was speculated that the siblings may take the Iron Islands first before they would go to King's Landing. Given that, it may also be a possibility that the casting calls could be for the army of the sibling's uncle, Euron Greyjoy who is now currently ruling over the Iron Islands.

Catch "Game of Thrones" season seven on HBO in summer of 2017.
