Jeep to Revive Grand Wagoneer by 2018

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced it will release new Jeep Grand Wagoneer by 2018.

The vehicle is expected to arrive at dealerships in fall 2018. An exact release date has not been decided yet.

Customers can expect the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer to be a top-of-the-line, three-row version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to the automaker.

Pricing was not announced by the automaker during the big announcement.

Expect the base price to be revealed closer to the vehicle's release date.

The automaker expects the revived Grand Wagoneer to compete with similar vehicles like the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave, among other vehicles.

A number of other future Jeep product plans were announced this week as well.

Among the plans announced by the automaker includes a single replacement for the Jeep Compass and Patriot, an unnamed vehicle set to be released sometime in spring 2016.

The next-generation Jeep Wrangler SUV is expected to be released sometime in spring 2017, according to the automaker.

Meanwhile the Jeep Cherokee will be refreshed with a slight redesign in fall 2016.

Interested customers can expect a completely redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee to be released sometime fall 2017.

The new Jeep Renegade, commonly referred to as the "baby Jeep," which will debut later on this year, will reportedly receive a minor renovation in mid-2017.
