The 2014 Cadillac ATS Crimson Sport Edition sedan, a new limited-edition vehicle produced only this spring, will start at $46,935, including a $925 destination charge.

The standard trim ATS 2.0T starts at $36,020, including shipping, while the Cadillac ATS Crimson Sport Edition for the 3.6L Premium Collection starts at $51,935, including shipping, Edmunds.com reported.

The special edition of the sports sedan, which features Crimson Red Metallic exterior paint, will hit dealerships later this month. Other specialty features include a microfiber suede shift lever, heated front seats and 18-inch Manoogian Dark Silver premium painted wheels, according to Edmunds.

The ATS Crimson Sport Edition is available in four interior styles: Morello Red with Jet Black accents, Caramel with Jet Black accents, Jet Black with Jet Black accents or Light Platinum with Jet Black accents, said a Cadillac press release.

More optional features include navigation, a sunroof, the Driver Assist Package and the Advanced Security Package, according to the press release.

The Cadillac ATS compact won the title of 2013 North American Car of the Year, said the press release. The vehicle also earned top marks for safety in Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash tests last fall.

Along with six other vehicles, the ATS sedan received a "Superior" rating for its safety systems, which could "substantially reduce speeds" or avoid crashes during each test, according to an IIHS press release.
