Apple to Release 4.7, 5.6-Inch iPhones in 2014?

Apple is supposedly planning on introducing not one, but two new phones this year with 4.7 and 5.6-inch display sizes, according to a new report from Taiwan's Economic Daily News.

The report also claims the 5.6-inch device will feature a sapphire screen, and somehow won't be known as an iPhone.

Though it is not crazy to think Apple would release two smartphones at the same time after doing so just last year, the idea that an Apple produced phone won't include iPhone in its name seems ludicrous at this point.

The devices will supposedly be produced at Apple's main supplier Foxconn, also referred to as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Other suppliers will include, Cheng Uei Precision Industry and Simplo Technology, according to the report.

Apple has been testing a number of different screens ranging from 4.7 to as big as 5.7-inches.

Other features that have been discussed by many media outlets includes an increase in RAM and an improved 3.2 MP front camera have also been mentioned in recent months by a number of media outlets.

The rear camera will likely remain at 8MP, according to the report.

The iPhone 6 could be sold for over $199 depending on what Apple is able to equip the phone with.

Susquehanna International Group Analyst Chris Caso claimed last year the next iPhone will be released in June 2014.
