Lamborghini Huracán Sales Reach 700 Units Before Geneva Debut

Although it's not officially on sale yet, Lamborghini confirmed this week that over 700 orders have been placed already for the new 202-mph Lamborghini Huracán, according to the New York Daily News.

The Huracán will make its formal debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

Lamborghini named its newest vehicle after a bull "known for its courage," according to the automaker.

Lamborghini also confirmed the sports car, which is replacing the current Gallardo model, will hit dealerships this spring.

The 2-seat 610-hp vehicle is equipped with a 5.2L V-10 engine, which is matted to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

Thanks to the powerful engine, Lamborghini claims the vehicle can sprint from 0 to 60 in just 3.2 seconds.

It also has a top speed of 325 mph, according to the automaker.

The vehicle will be available for $250,000, easily topping the base price for the current Gallardo, which is sold for $181,000.

Make sure to check back for information on the new Lamborghini Huracán after it is unveiled during the media preview at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
