2013 SEMA Show: 2014 Ford Focus ST Featured in Special Designs

Extreme versions of the 2014 Ford Focus ST, including a crime fighter and a Team Lotus racecar, will be showcased at the 2013 SEMA Show next month.

Drag Racing Against Gangs & Graffiti designed a rally-themed vehicle for law enforcement using the Focus ST, Edmunds.com reported.

With LED emergency lights, a custom interior rifle rack and a custom paint job, the vehicle "makes it the perfect partner for law enforcement," according to its creators. The car also features Wilwood engineering brakes, a suspension from Eibach Springs and wheels from Motegi Racing.

Curators at The Henry Ford Museum, home of the original 1965 Lotus-Ford racecar, worked with Green Filter USA to make a Focus ST into a tribute to Ford's longstanding involvement in motorsports.

The team made sure the Green Filter USA 2014 Ford Focus ST was authentic down to the signature green and gold colors of Classic Team Lotus

"Builders worked to mimic details from the original livery vehicle, including exhaust outlets on the custom exhaust kit," Ford said.

A third Focus ST car with a design from PM Lifestyle celebrated Southern California car culture with a custom harness bar, carbon-fiber exterior pieces and a custom paint job from Axalta. The vehicle's interior reflects the road rally theme with Sparco Chrono Road seats and a five-point harness from Schroth Racing, according to Edmunds.

Two more Focus ST remakes featured a 2013 model acknowledging the car's roots with a look from European Car Magazine and a 2014 model with a design from Universal Tech Institute, which gave the vehicle a classic Gulf Racing livery with 19-inch deep concave wheels and custom wide flares.

Ford will roll out more SEMA cars soon. The automaker plans to take the wraps off custom versions of the 2014 Ford Transit Connect on Oct. 24 and modified versions of the Ford F-150 and Super Duty on Oct. 31.

The 2013 SEMA Show will be held Nov. 5-8.
