NASCAR Driver Mike Harmon Turns Himself in After Being Charged with Car, Truck Thefts (VIDEO)

NASCAR driver Mike Harmon has turned himself in to authorities in North Carolina after warrants were issued for him and a business partner this week.

Sheriff's deputies in Rowan County confirmed that warrants were issued for Harmon and the business partner David Novack on June 17 after police discovered two racecars and five trucks on Harmon's property according to the Associated Press.

Authorities say the two men were charged with breaking and entering and larceny.

"I want it known that I have never stolen so much as a piece of bubble gum in my life," said Harmon on Twitter in May. "I did not take JJC hauler, there is no video of me any where near her shop. Today she was the windshield & I was the bug, but when we get in FEDERAL court in a couple wks there's a boulder coming."

Investigators said that Harmon and his associate allegedly stole at least seven vehicles from NASCAR's truck racer Jennifer Jo Cobb earlier this year. Harmon once was the team manager for Cobb's Nationwide racing team according to ESPN.

Cobb, who is competing in the Camping World Truck Series this year for her own racing team said to police that her hauler was stolen on May 11.

Cobb said in May that the contents of the hauler are worth over $250,000.

The items have since been returned to Cobb, who is in a legal dispute with Novak over the ownership of the racing equipment.

Search warrants were issued last month and charges were handed out after police found the missing items at a storage shed at an unidentified North Carolina location and at Harmon's shop in Mooresville on May 28 according to the Associated Press.

Harmon surrendered in Shelby shortly after the arrest warrant was issued.

Other items returned to Cobb included $100 cash, racing tools, clothing, merchandise and parts.
