Huawei Honor 9: Ditching The Headphone Jack Too

Cut to the chase, the Huawei Honor 9 is reported to lose the 3.5mm headphone jack. This is of course inspired by what Apple recently did to its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Instead of the usual earphones, listening to music has been made possible through wireless earbuds.

Are earbuds the in thing in latest mobile technology? Apparently, Samsung S8 and S8+ didn't lose its headphone jack, so this may not be entirely conclusive. As Huawei Honor 9 is set to lose its headphone jack, industry experts have lots to say about it.

To listen to music or any audio file for that matter, one has to make use of either Bluetooth or USB-C connector. Current Honor 9 renders support this allegation as it did not show any sign of physical headphone port.

Interesting, however, is that recent leaks show this device coming in different color choices, sure to fit anyone's character and liking. It is reported to come in blue, black, and silver. Such renders also suggest this device looking like its predecessor, the Honor 8, only with shiny, reflective glass back and a metallic frame.

Its camera capabilities may also be amped up as it is believed to come with dual-lens camera with dual-LED flash. Reports suggest that its rear-facing main camera may come in with 12-megapixels. Various camera technologies are also incorporated to produce even sharper images and videos.

The Huawei Honor 9 also comes in with adequate battery power having 3,000mAh. This may give it enough life for significant number of hours on a single charge. Its fingerprint sensor has yet to also be confirmed. However, renders and other reports suggest that it may have been scrapped altogether.

The Huawei Honor 9 is one promising device. Though it may not perform as good as other handsets in the market, it sure can deliver basic to intermediate needs and demands of its buyers.
