‘Dead Space 2,’ ‘Dead Space 3’ Join Microsoft’s Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Games & 4 Others

If you're into survival and hunting-style games, then you're in for a treat as Microsoft's Xbox One Backwards Compatibility has added Cabela's hunting game series. "Dead Space 2" and "Dead Space 3" is finally playable on Xbox One, joining the original game. Plus, 4 more games have been added as well.

It seems the theme for the recent addition to the backwards compatibility is horror in space. Regardless, these heavy hitters have finally joined the original "Dead Space" that was already backwards-compatible. With the addition of "Dead Space 2" and "Dead Space 3," all 3 core entries are playable for Xbox One, including the spinoff "Dead Space Ignition."

Also added to the growing number of backwards-compatible games for the Xbox One are games from Cabela. These four include "Dangerous Hunts 2013," "Survival: Shadows of Katmai," "Hunting Expeditions," and "Alaskan Adventures." Expect all 6 games to be available once everything is sorted out.

Although if you already own any of the earlier-mentioned games digitally, then they will appear in your "Ready to Download" list of the "My Games and Apps" section on your Xbox One. You can also pick them up via the Xbox Store or just use the disc.

Microsoft's Xbox One Backwards Compatibility has significantly grown the past few weeks, as Microsoft has seemingly been adding games on a weekly basis. In fact, these additional games are the ones a number of fans have been waiting for, quite some time.

If you are not a fan of the survival and hunting-style games from Cabela, then just wait for a bit as Microsoft might be preparing to release games of your interest. Still amazing to watch as Microsoft is adding niche genres to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility.

Other game titles added recently include "Contra," "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2," "TimeShift," and "RoboBlitz." You can check out the full list here for the Xbox One backwards-compatible games.

Now that "Dead Space 2" and "Dead Space 3" are already part of Xbox One Backwards Compatibility games, then it will only be a matter of time before your other Xbox 360 games make it as well. What other games would you want to be included on Xbox One? Share with us.
