Moto G5 And Moto G5 Plus: What Are The Significant Differences?

Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus may not ring a bell as the recently released Samsung handsets, but it does deliver a silent punch. These two devices may be considered underdogs, however, both are as capable and are as powerful. Industry experts have good reviews on the Moto G5 and G5 Plus, so it is important to know the difference between the two.

Both the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are recently made available in India. Even shortly after release, the fifth-generation Moto G smartphones are well-received by Indian experts. This is mainly because of the latest Moto G handsets running on Android 7.0 Nougat and are also splash-proof. These two handsets are successors of the bestsellers in India for 2016, the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus.

As for the display, it is obvious that the Moto G5 Plus is bigger than the G5. The Moto G5 Plus has a 5.2-inch full-HD display, while the G5 has a 5.0-inch full-HD display. Both ar extremely capable, with the other one just slightly bigger.

A good twist is presented in terms of the camera. Usually, the better specs come with the bigger handset, however, this is not the case for the new Moto G series. The Moto G5 Plus has a 12-megapixel rear camera with 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the other hand, the G5 packs 1-megapixel more for having 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. It also shares the same 5-megapixel front-facing camera as the G5 Plus.

For the battery, the "bigger the better" rule applies. The Moto G5 Plus has 3,000 mAh battery. The smaller Moto G series, the G5 has 2,800 mAh which is still highly capable. Both handsets deliver more than adequate battery life on a single charge.

In terms of its total size, the Moto G5 Plus appears to be significantly thinner which then means the camera protrudes while the G5 is flush. The G5's headphone jack is located on the top while the Moto G5 Plus has it on the bottom.

Regardless of its slimness, headphone jack location, and many others, both the Moto G5 and G5 Plus are two highly-rated devices which are expected to continue the legacy of its predecessors. It made history in India, so it is likely to have the same feat all across the globe if it ever becomes available.
