Michael Schumacher Updates: Eddie Irvine Says Michael Is The Greatest Driver; False Report May Cost €100,000?

F1 champ Michael Schumacher's fans continue to look for updates on their beloved racer. Latest reports now give an update on the lawsuit proceedings against Bunte, the German magazine. In another report, Ferrari racer Eddie Irvine called the injured racer as the greatest driver of his time.

As previously reported in February, there was a secret trial proceeding on the lawsuit filed against the German magazine, Bunte, by the family of Michael Schumacher. The publication is being sued for making a false report.

Bunte released an article in December, claiming that a source has mentioned that there is a chance for Michael Schumacher to walk again. However, the report was immediately debunked by the lawyer of the F1 champion.

According to Felix Damm, Michael Schumacher's lawyer, the champion was still not able to even stand on his own during that time the false report was published. The therapists still assist the champion to be able to move and stand.

Furthermore, the family of Michael Schumacher claims the false report of Bunte has led to giving false hopes to the friends, relatives, and fans of the F1 champion. The family said the false report was offensive and has invaded the privacy of the injured racer, despite the fact that they have already expressed their strict demand in keeping the high confidentiality of the racer's health condition.

Now, following this secret trial update, a new report has surfaced revealing the penalty charges the family of the F1 champion is imposing. The family is allegedly asking for a compensation payout of 100,000 from the German magazine.

The report also mentioned that the verdict for the lawsuit against Bunte is scheduled to be released on May 5. Apparently, the Hamburg regional court has postponed the release of the verdict.

Unfortunately, the reasons for the postponement were not officially disclosed. A court spokesperson speculates the delay might be because the results are not available yet.

Meanwhile, former Ferrari team-mate Eddie Irvine gave out many praises for Michael Schumacher in a video interview with Motorsport-Total.com. In the clip, Eddie Irvine described the injured champion as the greatest driver of his time. The team-mate said that if the latter is to be compared to the current champion, Michael Schumacher is still another level than the current champion.

As of this time, there is still no official update from the family of Michael Schumacher on his recovery status. We will continue to respect the family's preference to conceal the health progress of the race, but once an update has surfaced we will report accordingly.
