The Best Pick-up Trucks Of 2017: Who Among The New Models Stand Out?

Although car sales have been steady for the past couple of months, pickup trucks are still gaining momentum as well. However, GM pickups are somehow taking a dip as compared to their numbers last year.

But even as these numbers for GM are not that good, the automobile company still has outstanding trucks that are considered the best pick-up truck for this year. Included in the list are the Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra 1500 and Ford F-150.

2017 GMC Sierra 1500. This full-size pickup truck presents itself as an upscale version of the Chevrolet Silverado. It has a nicer trim and sculpted sheet metal. It has powerful V8 engines with spacious front seats, easy to use infotainment system and good-looking cabins. The base engine is 285 hp V6 with optional engines that include 355 hp V8 and 420 hp V8. It has an EPA rating of 15/21 mpg with a top speed of 98 mph. An all-wheel drive can be added for all the models.The 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 has a stylish and masculine appeal that keeps buyers interested. All its features are available for the base price of $29,700.

2017 Ford F-150. Ford is a dominant brand on the market right now that has earned numerous award. It is also one of the best pickup trucks this year. The 2017 Ford F-150 provides powerful engines with spacious interiors and an agile handling even for a truck. The base is 3.5 L V6 (253 lb. ft.) with optional 2.7 L turbo V6 (375 lb. ft) and 5.0 L V8 (387 lb. ft) which are all paired with 6-speed automatics. It has an EPA of 15-16 mpg for city driving and 21-26 for highway driving and 375 hp with a top speed of up to 108 mph. Buyers can choose from the 7 outstanding models the Ford F150 has. Price starts at $28,405.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado. This is one of the most muscular full-size pickup trucks that can be purchased in the market. It has a first class towing capacity with 2 powerful V8 engines. It has a user-friendly technology with comfortable interior designs that provides a smooth and comfortable ride for its passengers. The standard for the Silverado is a 4.3 L V6 with 305 lb. ft and 6-speed automatic. Other optional V8s are the 5.3L with 383 lb.ft and also a 6.2L with 460 lb.ft with an 8-speed automatic. It has an EPA of 15/21 mpg with 355 hp and a top speed of 99 mph. Get this 2017 Chevrolet Silverado at an MSRP of $29,080.
