2017 Isuzu D-Max Gets A New Powertrain

The all-new 2017 Isuzu D-Max is already getting ready to show off its brand new 1.9-liter engine and upgraded equipment in front of UK buyers looking for a much budget-friendly truck. The automaker recently revealed the UK price for the 2017 D-Max at the end of February, revealing that £15,749 will give customers the entry-level Utility model, packing LED DRLs, power windows, Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control.

For the new 2017 Isuzu D-Max, the biggest updated is its powertrain. A new 1.9-liter turbo diesel engine has been fitted, which makes 164 PS and 360 Nm of torque. The engine builds the truck's workhorse character and keeps the 3.5-ton towing capacity and 1-ton payload while providing a quieter, more refined and economical driving experience.

The range line up from the new D-Max is retained. It has five trim levels which include Utility, Utah, Eiger, Yukon, and Blade with a range of single, extended and double can versions available.

The Utah takes comforts with keyless entry, and push-button start feature, satellite navigation, roof bars, DAB digital radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear parking sensors, leather upholstery with heated front seats, and automatic air conditioning. The Eiger trim level adds 16-inch alloy wheels, body colored bumpers, a reversing camera, audio system with CD player and six speakers.

The Yukon trim levels add 18-inch alloy wheels, new 7-inch multi-function touchscreen, Cruise Control, LED rear lights, rear load liner, silver side steps, and a leather steering wheel. Finally, the range-topping Blade adds 9-inch multi-functional touchscreen, remote locking tailgate, front and rear parking sensors, tinted windows, and a colored-coded Aeroklas canopy or sports bar with roller cover.

The new 2017 Isuzu D-Max also has a new 6-speed automatic transmission fitted on the truck. This feature can adapt gear changes to suit driving situations. Driving also has an option to drive in manual mode using the sequential shift stick that creates a more sporting experience.
