2017 Dodge Durango Provides More Power, Room and Savings For Growing American Families

If one needs an SUV that can haul a large family cross-country, then the 2017 Dodge Durango is the best bet for this need. Not only is it great to look at but the 2017 Dodge Durango provides all the creature comforts needed in a family SUV.

The 2017 Dodge Durango is built on the Jeep Grand Cherokee platform developed during Daimler Chrysler's time forming the Mercedes-Benz M-Class. Dodge Durango has two variants - the 293 horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine, and the 360 horsepower, 5.7-liter V-8 engine.

The sportier RT and Citadel models of Dodge Durango get the V-8 engine, while Base SXT and the fast-selling GT get the V-6 engine. All models come with either rear wheel or all wheel drives.

The SXT and GT models get a single-speed system but lack a low-range one. On the other hand, the RT and Citadel models have two-speed, active-on-demand systems.

Even though the 2017 Dodge Durango is a rather large, seven-seater SUV, it rides like a compact SUV. It is reported to drive quite well, with a suspension that manages to maneuver over bumps and turns in the road.

Likewise, the 2017 Dodge Durango possesses an Auto Start Stop function to enable you to save on gas. It also has a Sport Mode whenever the driver wants to take it for a sportier drive.

When it comes to fuel economy, the 2017 Dodge Durango, particularly its GT model, has a 21 mpg. This becomes 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

TFLCar reports that the 2017 Dodge Durango has an estimated cruising speed of 600 miles for the V-6, and 500 miles for the V-8. Likewise, it only uses regular-grade gas which is surprising since it is a large SUV.

Prices for the 2017 Dodge Durango starts at USD29,995. It can go as high as USD45,090 for the GT model, with an all-wheel drive and other premium options.
