Lexus Teases LS 500 F Sport

For over 115, the New York International Auto Show has been one of the largest shows in America and a place for automakers to display their cars. The 2017 New York International Auto Show is no different. The show will showcase an incredible collection of cutting-edge design and incredible innovation. There are going to be more than four floors that are opened to the automakers so they can feature their newest vehicles and latest futuristic concept cars.

As reported by Wheels, Lexus is one of the automakers that is going to showcase their latest cars at the 2017 New York International Auto Show. One of the vehicles is the Lexus LS 500 F Sport.  It is hard to tell the features of the new car as the single teaser image show the car’s rump. It is clear that Lexus is keeping the reveal for New York.

However, the LS 500 F Sport is likely to have a unique grille treatment with a sportier mesh design, lower body kit, bigger bumper vents, dark-hued wheels, and darker interior with contrast-stitched leather.
The F Sport grade suggests that there won’t be many tweaks to the standard LS 500’s 310kW twin-turbo petrol V6 engine. Instead, Lexus hinted that chassis and suspension upgrades will be the key difference on the LS 500 F Sport. They said that the F Sport is going to capitalize on the responsiveness and agility of the new LS line. Speaking of the LS line, the LS 500h hybrid will also receive the F Sport treatment. The car uses 3.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol V6 engine and two electric motors to deliver 264kW.

As reported by Roadshow, the Lexus LS 500 F Sport is not going to compete with the likes of Mercedes-AMG S63 or anything similar, but it is going to stand on its own as the most fun LS model yet unveiled.
The Japanese manufacturer doesn’t give up on the idea of a sporty luxury sedan, and the LS500 F Sport is the proof of that.
