Popular Auto Brand Subaru Competes In the Modern Times: Know More About the Subaru SUV's

When SUVs became prevalent in the car industry, it is a sign that it is a sure money maker. Almost all manufacturers jump on the opportunity to join the fray. Subaru, however, did not devote a lot of time, design and effort to mass produce. Drive news confirmed it was only in 2006 that the car manufacturer decided to create one of their own.

Subaru Tribeca. Subaru unveiled the Subaru Tribeca. Because it is not really known then as an SUV maker, its first foray in the new fad did not really gain grounds. The Subaru Tribeca as a seven seater did not sit well with critics.

The 2006 Subaru Tribeca gets its power from a 250 HP, 3.0 Liter 6 cylinder engine. It is mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox that controls all 4 wheels. Although fuel efficiency is good, the design and built did not click well with car enthusiasts. Some reviewed it as ugly and a little bit uncomfortable to drive. Likewise, they found the third row a little bit stiff and offers very limited space for cargo. The Later version like the 3.6-liter had some improvements but still similar to the earlier models. It also did not escape the recalls which affected 2007, 2008, 2010 models. These Subaru cars can practically still be your everyday buddy. If properly maintained, it will still have a long life.

To gain more ground in the SUV market, Subaru upgraded its production with the Subaru Outback. It is one of the most famous SUV models of the company. It aims to compete with the modern times.

2017 Subaru Forester. Subaru Forester has great engineering features. It boasts of its symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Boxer engine, and Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle. As for its drivers' safety, it offers the Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and High Beam Assist. This is apart from the may specifications this car has to offer.

2018 Subaru Outback. The 2018 Subaru Outback comes in two trims. The smaller version gets a 175 HP, 2.5-liter boxer 4 cylinder engine. The other model has a bigger 256 HP, 3.5 liters, boxer 6 cylinder engine. Both choices are paired to CVT transmission for ease of handling. Both are also 4 wheel drive type vehicle. Compared to older SUV models, the 2018 Outback handles more easily and gets a better design. Safety features were upgraded to include a rearview camera and tire pressure monitors to give more peace of mind while driving.

2018 Subaru Ascent. Also, Subaru fans are expecting the all new 2018 Subaru Ascent. It is considered as the longest 3 row SUV and is the much awaited Subaru car of the year. It carries modern features and specifications to cater to the everyday needs of its interested buyers. It is made to be even bigger than Tribeca and Outback. It has spacious and perfect for long drives with the family. Catch this latest model from Subaru cars at the New York Auto Show.
