Elon Musk Teases There May Be No Tesla Model Y In Few Years, Why?

Elon Musk's tweets on Tesla Model Y is certainly making car enthusiasts and Tesla fans talk. As it is highly anticipated, it seems that anticipation will even grow to be more intense after this news from Musk himself. This made many of its fans why such delay.

According to The Drive, simply put, this is for Tesla to focus its momentum and marketing efforts in Model 3. This affordable Tesla car is expected to do exceptionally well in sales as it is made affordable and will be available in dealerships this September. From the twitter post, Elon Musk said that Model Y will still happen, only it will have to wait a little longer.

The focus is in Tesla Model 3 and everything else may have to revolve around it. As it promises good return on investment, it is but right for the company to focus on the more recent. If it takes off well (as what is projected), then Tesla can focus its attention in coming up with the much-anticipated Model Y.

Back in 2015, Musk teased everyone as he suggested that Tesla Model Y will be an electric compact SUV. So far, this is it the only official information regarding Model Y. However, it may be one of the best vehicles of its class as it gets released. Since there's still years before actual production, Tesla still has time to make this a cutting-edge SUV (if it really is an SUV).

As added by Mashable, there was also a six-second video footage of Elon Musk's first drive of Tesla Model 3. It comes in black and looks extremely sleek and classic. However, it is only a candidate version so it may still not be the Model 3 everyone is expecting to see this fall.

Musk also clarified that Model 3 is not, in any way related to Model S. It is a more affordable option between Model S and Model X. Model 3 is also expected to be the best of its kind and will deliver ultimate performance for having more space and bigger battery.

Tesla Model Y may have to wait and it understandable why such decision has been made. This is definitely good news as Tesla would have more time to make it the best while focusing on an equally anticipated Model 3 coming very soon. Any official news on Model Y will immediately be reported. Meanwhile, watch the video below to know what to expect with the upcoming Model 3.
