2018 BMW M6 GT3: A New Beast To Take On The Racing Track

Bavarian Motor Works or simply known as BMW is a German company that produces luxury motorcycles, engines, and vehicles. The 2018 BMW M6 GT3 is just one of their new race car concepts.

The model showcases an aerodynamic body with lightweight materials. GT3s Self-supporting steel chassis, as well as its carbon fiber reinforced plastic crash element on the front and the rear, are all welded FIA-approved safety cell.

Everything that was made on the car has provided a scale less than 2,866 pounds. As to some other measurements, changes were also applied just like on its wheelbase that comes longer and provides a better handling.

There were a lot of improvements as to the making of this model for efficiency and ease of driving. One of the best examples of the said improvements is the lower running cost for over 30% compared to the previous model which also provides the best performance for a racing car.

Since this 2018 BMW M6 GT3 is a special car, a particular engine is also expected to come along with the model. BMW's new race car concept comes with a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine which is strong and can run up to over 585 of horsepower with a very high pound-feet of torque

The car's engine is paired with a sequential six-speed transmission on its rear wheel driving for a much better weight balance which might make it as the best performance car to rise in the market this year. From the company's known models in this class where GT3 belongs, the engine it possessed is changed a little bit but is crucial for race car driving.

Safety is more important than any other things when it comes to a racing car, and BMW has taken care of that. Aside from the FIA-approved safety cell, the 2018 BMW M6 GT3 exerted an effort for an improved roof hatch, driver's helmet, and safety seats.
