OnePlus 5 May Come Out With Matte Black Variant And Qualcomm Snapdragon 835

OnePlus 5 is now speculated to come out with a matte black variant. Following the successful launch of the matte black variant of the limited edition of its predecessor, OnePlus 3T Colette, new reports push for the upcoming flagship to be released with the same color in May or June.

Due to the successful launch of the OnePlus 3T Colette limited edition, many believe that the upcoming OnePlus 5 will most likely come out with a matte black variant as well. However, the successor will no longer carry the engraved Colette logo, which was done for the limited edition only.

The predecessor, OnePlus 3T first came out with two color variants: gunmetal and gold. It was only now that the Chinese manufacturer decided to launch a classy matte black variant for the limited edition, OnePlus 3T Colette, Nashville Chatter reported.

OnePlus has partnered with Colette, Paris-based concept store, to come up with a limited edition of the brand's third-generation smartphone. The partnership resulted to the release of OnePlus 3T Colette, a limited edition variant of the much-loved OnePlus 3T.

The OnePlus 3T Colette is being offered as the iconic 20th-anniversary smartphone of Colette. This variant will have the same features except that it will have the engraved Colette logo and in the exclusive all-black body.

Only 250 units of OnePlus 3T Colette were produced and sold yesterday, March 21 in Paris. OnePlus took to its official Facebook account a live stream of the successful launch of the special edition where people lined up early to get a copy of the limited edition smartphone.

Meanwhile, the upcoming OnePlus 5 is speculated to run with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. Since Samsung has the exclusive rights to first release products with this latest chip, OnePlus will have to wait a little further to release its new flagship carrying the latest chip.

Reports predict that the upcoming OnePlus 5 will most likely be released in May or June as Samsung is still set to launch its latest flagship, Galaxy S8 on March 29.
