Finally, after a long and successful first generation run, the Audi Q5 crossover has been redesigned for 2018. The new model is expected to go on sale soon in the United States.

The pricing information for the Q5 and the high-performance SQ5 has finally been revealed. The prices for both vehicles have gone up a bit.

However, the increase in price is justifiable and was made to reflect new equipment and improved performance. The 2018 Q5 standard starts at $42,475.

The standard new model Q5 comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four and all-wheel drive. On the other hand, the SQ5 starts at $55,275. It's equipped with a V6 engine.

Some might notice that there is a $625 increase over the base 2017 Q5 and $1025 increase from the base price of the 2017 SQ5. The Q5 options include three trim levels.

The three trim levels for the Q5 includes Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. The complete feature list for all three can be found on Audi's official website here.

The standard equipment list for the base Premium model includes a backup camera, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and automatic climate control. There are also additional options such as a sunroof, proximity key, and navigation.

The Premium Plus trim costs an additional $4000. With the Premium Plus, buyers can get a panoramic sunroof, blind-spot monitoring and LED headlights. On the other hand, the Q5 Prestige costs an additional $5300/

The Q5 Prestige includes Audi's virtual cockpit, TFT instrument cluster, and a 360-degree camera system. It also includes a head-up display. There will also be an adaptive damping system which is available on the Audi Q5 Prestige for only $1000.

For its price, the SQ5 offers a significant step up in performance. It is equipped with a 354 horsepower turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. It also features an upgraded chassis. These only come in the $55,275 Premium Plus and the $59,475 Prestige trims. There's also other options included a $3000 S Sport package and a $500 Cold Weather package.

As for the 2018 Audi Q5 and SQ5 release, the company has yet to provide a specific date. However, the company revealed that both the new Q5 and SQ5 models would arrive at dealerships this spring.
