Miracle Chicken Eggs Laid By Hen In China, Contained Two Yolks, Another Egg Inside (VIDEO)

A chicken in China has been called the "miracle chicken" after it laid an egg that contained two yolks and another egg inside according to The Guardian.

The egg weighs half a pound and took the chicken three weeks for the egg to come out according to the 87-year-old owner of the bird. The owner originally thought the chicken was having difficulty laying one egg but nothing came out for almost a month.

The owner even believed the chicken was dying at one point as it tried laying the egg.

This is believed to be the fourth or fifth egg the chicken has produced.

"I'm more than 80 now, but I have never seen eggs like this before," said the owner according to The Guardian.

The chicken didn't like to eat the corn the owner provided, so instead of corn, the owner fed the chicken a diet of just rice, which is now believed to have helped with the process.

No studies have been able to prove if the rice had anything to do with the oversized egg.

An egg within an egg is actually common when talking about chocolate eggs, but its virtually unheard of to have an actual egg form inside of another.

In 2012, a chicken named Pooples laid an egg that was 7-ounces on a farm in the U.K.

"I've never seen an egg that size before. We have had bobbly ones and long ones but never anything like this," the chicken's owner, Harriet Whitaker, 8, told the Daily Mail. "I thought an ostrich had been into the run overnight."
