Ferrari 812 Superfast Keeps True To Its Name - Hear This Beast Roar

The Ferrari 812 Superfast has been unveiled for the first time at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. With that said, there is still much to learn about the replacement for the F12 Berlinetta.

What was already documented is that the F12 Superfast will feature a new 6.5-liter V-12 engine under the hood. The engine produces up to 790 horsepower and 530 pound-feet of torque with a whopping 9,000-rpm redline.

Aside from its beastly components under the hood, the Ferrari F12 Superfast has a lot more to offer. Motor Authority recently reported about the advanced technologies of this car.

According to the report, the 812 has over 121 hp/liter of engine displacement. This puts the car at the top ranking for naturally aspirated engines when it comes to specific power output.

The 812 trumps the current leader, the 2.0-liter inline-4 found within the Mercedes-AMG CLA45 and the GLA45 with a forced induction of 137.5 hp/liter. On the other hand, the naturally aspirated leader is the Porsche's 911 GTR RS with its 4.0-liter flat-6 which makes 500 horsepower, that's 125 hp/liter.

Not only that, but the Ferrari 812 Superfast produces 5,076 pound-force per square inch. It also comes equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic which is 30 percent faster than its predecessor.

For those who are waiting to hear what this beast sounds like when it roars, Ferrari recently uploaded a video on its YouTube channel. Fans can now hear how that engine sounds.

Motortrend recently wrote an article about the unique sounds the 812 makes. An excerpt from the report reads, "Normally, we aren't fans of the histrionics that go into car commercials. Yet, this Ferrari video has it all: the dramatic music, the dark and lonely road, a guy that looks like Clive Owen (wait, is that Clive Owen?), and even explosions of water that appear as the supercar passes through the road. Somehow, the theatrics work given the type of car that's featured."

As of the moment, the exact price of the Ferrari 812 Superfast has yet to be revealed. However, it is expected to be released within a couple of years.
