Nintendo Switch News & Update: Company Addresses Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Connectivity Problems

Nintendo Switch is no doubt a great little console. And like many newly released devices, it is facing subjective scrutiny from different viewpoints. But reports noted one of the most significant issues plaguing the most talked-about console and Nintendo has also released comments regarding the issues.

While official sales numbers haven't been released, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aimé that 5 days into the wild, the hybrid console "continues to be the fastest selling system that we've ever had here in the US." This is no surprise as the console is unique in its own way and that Nintendo badly needed a massive hit following the disaster of the Wii U.

A number of Nintendo Switch users have encountered issues with the console's Joy-Con controllers, particularly issues on connectivity. In a nutshell, the left Joy-Con has problems staying connected to the Switch. It relatively disconnects midgame on certain occasions.

For example, when you are doing battle against a boss with the "Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild" and suddenly the left Joy-Con is disconnected, this would cause major frustrations. You would end up losing the fight.

BGR has provided a quick fix for this specific issue, which you can check here, while others were successful enough in opening and tweaking the components of the console, which by the way is not advisable. You would void your warranty, definitely.

Fortunately, TIME had a recent interview with President Reggie Fils-Aimé where he addressed the Nintendo Switch's particular issue and assuring users that they are investigating the matter, among others. "All I can tell you is that we are aware of and have seen some of the reports."

He further added: "We're asking consumers a lot of questions. That's why we want to get consumers on our help line, so we can get as much information to understand the situation as possible. And so we are in a fact-finding mode, to really understand the situation and the scenarios. And with that information, we'll look and see what the next steps are."

But the number of the repair requests and replacement for the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con is not significantly alarming. The company still wants users to directly contact them via Nintendo Support so that they could address and resolve whatever potential questions customers may have.

Although Nintendo doesn't have a solid solution to the problem, it is good to know that they have acknowledged it and is looking into it as well. Overall, the Nintendo Switch is a solid hybrid gaming console. We will keep you updated with the latest issues and fixes. Stay tuned.
