Apple iPhone 8 Updates: Nicknamed iPhone X, Loaded With Techs, OLED Screen, Hyper-Sensitive Touch

The iPhone 8 is the most awaited releases from Apple. There is still a long time before the phone will make its appearance. However, enthusiasts could not stop talking about the tech loaded iPhone that is yet to be revealed.

The iPhone 8 is now also famously known as the iPhone X and iPhone Edition. There are so many speculations as to what features the phone would have and how will it look. There are reports which suggest that the phone will have an OLED screen. It is also said that Apple is testing the technology for OLED as well as LCD screen panels for both the curved as well as the flat versions.

There are few who expect that the iPhone 8 will come with a flat display with a new, longer aspect ratio design to take advantage of a higher coverage area of the iPhone on the whole. This design is expected to be a trendsetter during the year, reported Digital Trends.

There are a lot of reports discussing the screen size of the new iPhone. It does seem that the phone will have a screen measuring 5.8 inches.

It is reported that Apple's Touch ID technology could be changed to serve the bezel-less device. In this case, the technology might switch to facial recognition. However, there are many technical challenges to make that change suddenly and it might take time. Until then, the company might use facial as well as fingerprint technology.

There are many reports that are circulating that the new iPhone 8 will give up the home button to support a full-size OLED display. This is yet to be confirmed. Also, there were reports that Apple will also give up on the lightning port in favor of USB Type-C. However, given the design of most Apple devices, it seems that it is less likely that the lightning port will be ditched, reported The Sun.

It is expected that the iPhone 8 will be released along with iPhone 7S and 7S Plus in the latter part of 2017. It is also rumored that the iPhone 8 will be named as the iPhone Edition.
