Peugeot 3008: A Luxuriously Sporty Compact SUV

French car manufacturer Peugeot has released its all-new 3008 SUV. The new SUV is a refined, luxurious, and definitely, an alluring vehicle that is worth the look and even more the buy.

The all-new Peugeot 3008 SUV. The 3008 SUV was first unveiled in 2008 and officially released in 2009. The new 3008 is a 5-seater compact SUV that a lot sportier and chunkier than the outgoing model. Its front fascia takes inspiration from the 308 hatch and the 2008 crossover that came before it.

The new 3008 now sports stainless steel doorsills, smoked windows, jagged front lights, and a chrome-trimmed floating roof. It may be more petite than the 5008 but it is actually quite generously roomy for a compact SUV.

Although it features a very impressive exterior, the interior is what really makes this vehicle stand out. Almost everything inside has been redesigned. The instrument cluster is now housed in an angular display pod underneath the windscreen. It sports a squared-off steering wheel, top, and bottom. The center of the dash is where one will find the main display touchscreen with a rack of small levers for certain functions just beneath it.

One amazingly particular feature of the new 3008 is the driver ambiance system which adjusts the interior's mood lighting and even the smell. There are three smells available namely Cosmic Cuir, Harmony Wood, and Aerodrive. Other features include the new Peugeot i-Cockpit and seats with an eight-way multi-point massage function.

The 3008's base 1.2-liter 3-cylinder PureTech petrol engine is already enough to give one a ride that is very much enthusiastic. Other engine options include a 1.6-liter e-THP 165 turbocharged petrol, 1.6-liter BlueHDi 100 and 120 diesels, and 2.0 BlueHDi 150 and 180 diesels. All trims are front-wheel drive and have the standard stop-start function. The 1.6 e-THP and 2.0 BlueHDi have the standard automatic transmission. Interested buyers can opt for either a manual transmission or automatic transmission 1.2-liter PureTech petrol engine and 1.6 BueHDI 120 diesel engine.
