[VIDEO] Ford Fiesta ST Teased As A Super High-Speed Hatch

2017 Ford Fiesta ST has just made a surprise appearance online. Ford has released a teaser video dropping a quick glimpse on the new design of ST prior to its official launch on Feb. 24. The new hatch is projected to be a super high-speed hatch.

Ford has just released a teaser video to hype up the anticipation for its upcoming Fiesta ST. The automaker has just posted the video on its official Facebook account, which has a caption "Guess who's back #FiestaST."

The clip teases that the zesty Fiesta ST is coming out with some redesign works. Unfortunately, the clip did not give away a lot of details, most likely aiming to keep the suspense going.

In the clip, there were few and very fast flashes of the new hatch with white body paint in high-speed motion. In the video, the new Fiesta ST was shown to be racing with a man on a speedy bike.

The location appears to be set in a manufacturing plant. The new Fiesta ST speeds through an alley of probably the Cologne assembly plant.

With the quick glances of the new hatch, the new alloy wheels can be spotted. It can also be noticed that the rear spoiler seems familiar.

In the clip, the new hatch shown appears to have a five-door body. However, previous reports have already confirmed that the new Fiesta ST will also be available in  a 3-door variant.

The next generation Fiesta ST has been announced to utilize an updated version of its standard three-cylinder EcoBoost engine. Darren Palmer, Ford's head of small cars in Europe, has shared how promising the 1.0-liter engine is turning out to be. He detailed that the brilliant engine creates loads of torque when the turbo comes on boost. He also specified that they were considering to use this engine for the next ST, AutoExpress has noted.

The new Ford Fiesta ST is set to be launched in full on Feb. 24 at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
