Android Oreo Is The New OS? Spoilers Here!

It hasn't been that long that the Android Nougat was developed by the software developer. However, leaks suggested that an upcoming Android Oreo may be the latest OS of the brand which will release later this year. What are its features? Will the development push through?

Google usually keeps their Android OS updates a secret before there are officially announced. However, recent leaks suggested that the brand is cooking up the new Android Oreo which was speculated to release later this year, reported BGR. In fact, it was also hinted that the announcement of the official brand new OS will be revealed this summer, in time for Google's I/O 2017 event.

Although the latest Android OS has not been officially called Oreo, the speculated Beta version was labeled by fans to possibly be named Oreo, much like how the previous OS versions were named after sweet goodies. In fact, Google's senior vice president of Android, Google Play, and Chrome OS, Hiroshi Lockheimer, may have already hinted on the name when he posted on his official Twitter account a GIF animation of the renowned Oreo cookie.

In other news, Phone Arena also reported that fans had been more concerned with what the latest OS's name will be rather than the features it will bring. In fact, they considered Lockheimer's post to be a leak of Oreo as being the possible name of the upcoming development. If Google were to stick to its regular schedule of announcements, the official declaration of the latest development may be revealed as soon as March.

Although many speculations already arose since the executive's Twitter post went viral, others are still curious as to what the possibly new Android Oreo will bring to the table. Since the release of Android Nougat just occurred last week, were the developments made too soon? Will Oreo be as interesting as the Nougat considering the short span of time it was developed shortly after the Nougat?
