A new application on the Windows Store recently appeared. The app called "Book Settings" suggests Samsung is working on a Windows 10 powered device. The "Book Settings" description reads:
Install 'Book Settings' which includes Battery Life Extender, Screen mode, Pattern Log-in, User manual, and other Samsung features.
Book Settings is an application for Galaxy Book. It may not function normally on other devices.
The screenshot of the app implies that the new Samsung Galaxy Book will have a pen support, pattern-style login very much like on every Android device. Based on the screenshot, the new Windows 10 Tablet will also have an AMOLED display.
It will also feature a special battery extender which sets the maximum battery charge level up to 85%. As of the moment, these are the only concrete information Auto World News has on the device.
Way back in 2012, the South Korean multinational conglomerate company filed a trademark for the "Galaxy Book." This is reserved for use on several of Samsung's devices such as the tablet computers, mobile phones, and smartphones. The trademark reads:
IC 009. US 021 023 026 036 038. G & S: Tablet computers, MP3 players, mobile phones, and smart phones; computer software for instant messaging, sending and receiving emails and contact information, schedule sharing and contents sharing services; computer software for managing and organizing various digital reading contents, namely, e-books, e-newspapers, thesis, and e-magazines; computer software for purchasing, subscribing, downloading, playing or listening to digital reading contents, namely, e-books, e-newspapers, thesis and e-magazines and electronic games; etc etc etc....
As for the Samsung Galaxy Book's release, some speculate it will be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress on February 26. But some are skeptical about the date since it will be too soon.
As of the moment, it is still unconfirmed whether fans will get their hands on the new Windows 10 tablet. However, it would be very interesting to see Samsung compete with laptops like the Surface Book.
