BlackBerry Offers Devices At Slashed Prices On V-Day Sale: DTEK50 And DTEK60 To Be Grabbed At Discounted Prices

BlackBerry may not be the first choice for picking a mobile device for most people. This Valentine's day, the company is trying to spread some love by cutting down on the price of its devices. It is reported that the mobile company will offer the BlackBerry DTEK50 and DTEK60 handsets at a lesser price.

Here is a quick look at what the company has in its offer. The original cost of DTEK50 is $299 but the company is giving it away for $259, or $40 off. The DTEK60, is available for $449 while it is normally priced at $499. This is $50 off.

Both the phones of BlackBerry are reviewed to be good handsets. The DTEK50 has a Snapdragon 617 SoC, along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The USP of the phone is the camera. The device offers a 13MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front-facing wide-angle camera, reported Digital Trends.

The DTEK60 is a little more powerful with a Snapdragon 820 processor. It has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device also has features like a fingerprint scanner along with a 21MP rear-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture, and an 8MP front-facing camera.

The discount that BlackBerry is offering is only on these two devices. The other BlackBerry devices are not on discount. The company is offering the BlackBerry Priv for $449, the BlackBerry Passport for $349, and the BlackBerry Leap for $199. It is not officially announced how many days these discounts will last after Valentines, reported Phone Arena.

BlackBerry DTEK50 and DTEK60 were built by TCL. The devices are later rebranded by BlackBerry and sold under its flagship. The phones use BalckBerry's version of Android. It also has Hub and a few other features. Will BlackBerry's move to slash prices for Valentine's Day help the company gain back the lost love?
