Sony Xperia Edge Concept Design Is A Visual Stunner

A new third-party image render of the Sony Xperia Edge has once again hit the internet. The most recent image shows off a stunning design that takes inspiration from the Samsung Edge.

The Xperia Edge concept designs. A lot of designs on Sony's next flagship have already come varying degrees of quality. Some image renders are based off leaks while some are products of an artist's imagination.

The latest image render is clearly inspired by Samsung's Edge display technology. One can see that the handset is encased in a metal housing with what looks like Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It looks to be an IP68 certified dustproof and waterproof device.

The side of the phone has a power button with a built-in fingerprint scanner. The top and bottom panel sports an integrated grill and dual-stereo speaks respectively. In addition, the smartphone concept has high-resolution audio playback and recording.

Other design aspects appear to be from the designer's imagination and shouldn't be taken in as actual specifications or features. Regardless, the design is spectacularly stunning and is just enough to keep fans' excitement fed until the actual unveiling of the Xperia Edge.

The Sony Xperia Edge is speculated to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and features 6 gigabytes of RAM and a 6-inch dual-edged AMOLED display with a QHD resolution of 2560 by 1440. It may come in internal storage options of 64, 128, and 256 gigabytes. The rear sports a 23-megapixel dual camera with laser and phase detection autofocus, 4K video capabilities, and 5-axis image stabilization. The front, on the other hand, has a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens camera with an integrated retina scanner hidden underneath the transparent display.

There are other concept designs published on the internet of the Xperia Edge. One concept features a bezel-less display even.
