BMW i8: Futuristic Car Waving A Green Flag Proud, Well-Designed For Fuel Economy

The BMW i8 is a futuristic car. It has an exceptional performance for a hybrid and good fuel economy for a sports car. It is well-designed and very sleek.

The supercar is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline three-cylinder engine. It is paired with an electric motor and the turbo three-cylinder, which can send a total of 228 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. The second electric motor sits up front sending an additional 129 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels.

The BMW i8 stretches 184.6 inches long, 76.5 inches wide and 51.0 inches tall. It has a highly futuristic design characterized by LED lighting on both ends, scissor doors, and unusual stream flow C pillars design to improve the car's airflow.

It comes with an 8.8 inch mounted on top of the center stack runs BMW's iDrive infotainment system. The driver can control the car's navigation, connectivity, climate control and infotainment functions by using a knob situated on the center console.

The standard equipment includes front and rear parking sensor, cruise control and a navigation system, which able to calculate routes with maximum efficiency as a priority. The optional extras such as a "Connected Drive" driver assistance package with a 360-degree camera system for collision warning with automated braking and high beam assistant.

The sportscar also comes with a carbon fiber body and CFRF body shell are super strong while dual front, side, and curtain airbags fitted as standard. The battery is also well protected by a crash structure.  There is a boot under the glass hatch at the rear that can fit a couple of weekend bags in.

The BMW i8 one of the most desirable sports cars around with the incredible looks and offers a one of a kind drive. It can take the fight to almost anything on the road and do it while waving a green flag proud and loud.
