LG Watch Sport And LG Watch Style May Out Come Out Next Month

The wait for the anticipated smart watches from LG is about to end soon. Spoilers reveal that the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style are both coming out on February 9.

Popular tech leak source Evan Blass claims to acquire details for the anticipated LG Watch Sport and Watch Style. According to his report, VentureBeat has acquired a marketing material revealing that Google has partnered with LG to launch the first wearable gadgets, LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style, which will be powered by Android Wear 2.0.

The report mentioned that the company is set to launch the two smart watch models on February 9. It was also specified that the devices will begin selling in the U.S. the day after the launch.

The new LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style will also be displayed at the booth of LG in the upcoming Mobile World Congress set to open on February 27 in Barcelona.

The LG Watch Sport will come in two variants, titanium and dark blue. On the other hand, the LG Watch Style will be available in three colors, titanium, silver and rose gold. The LG Watch Style will sport interchangeable straps for the stylish users, while the LG Watch Sport will come with a conventional single strap.

In comparison, the Sport smartwatch has a larger screen of 1.38 inches and 480 x 480 while the Style has only 1.2-inch, 360 x 360 screen. The former also has bigger space, 768MB RAM and 4GB internal storage while the latter comes with 512MB RAM and same 4GB internal storage.

Both models will have the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. Also, both models are dust and water resistant. However, the Sport has better proofing having the IP68 rating for water resistance level, while the Style only has IP67 rating.

Meanwhile, there were three devices that have reportedly been certified recently by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for LG smartwatches. The FCC certification reveals the model numbers W280, W270 and W281, Trusted Reviews reported.

Since the FCC certification has been released, this signals that the devices are soon scheduled for release. The latest leak revealing the Feb. 9 launch date for the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style seems to be possible. However, it remains to be seen if LG will also launch the third device which has acquired the FCC certification.
