Nissan revealed an extremely impressive new concept car at the 2017 North American International Auto Show last Monday. The concept is called Vmotion 2.0 where it shows off Nissan's vision for its next generation ProPilot system that allows cars to drive by itself.

The Nissan Vmotion 2.0 concept improves the brand's V-Motion design as featured on the current Nissan models such as the Maxima and the Murano. The automaker's concept is a clear sneak peek of its upcoming Altima mid-size family sedan.

The Vmotion 2.0 measures 191.3 inches long and 74.4 inches wide and with a wheelbase of 112.2-inches, which is half an inch shorter than the current Altima. It has 2.4 inch-wide front wheels and 2.9 inches of additional space in its rear wheels.

The shorter overhangs at the front and back ends give the car a more dynamic figure than the current Altima. With its huge wheels, shaved door handles, and suicide doors, it's obvious that Vmotion 2.0 is most likely to compete for superiority with the likes of Mazda 6.

As per the optimal view of the interior, leather and natural Zebra Wood are applied to the flooring and inner doors. It features a semicircle steering wheel, which helps show off the infotainment display to the driver and front passenger.

The Vmotion 2.0's got some cool sound technology inside as well. With Bose Ultra Nearfield speakers, it turns signal chimes to go to the driver's corresponding ear, so any Bluetooth calls or voice prompts can be heard by the driver only.

Nissan plans to roll out new models with ProPilot autonomous technology in the beginning of the next decade. Last week at CES, Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn touted his first 'drive' in a fully autonomous Nissan Leaf.

In addition, Nissan's Serena car in Japan features the next generation ProPilot system as well, but it will make its way into production in Europe this year. Same goes with the next generation Nissan Leaf.
