Xiaomi Mi 6: No Mention During CES 2017, Unlikely Release at MWC 2017

Several leaks have revealed the Xiaomi Mi 6's alleged specs and release date. The future flagship has even been touted to have a Snapdragon 835 processor. During Mi CES 2017, only the Mi Mix was discussed making it very unlikely for the Mi 6 to be unveiled during the MWC 2017.

Mi 6 AnTuTu Score. According to GSM Arena, the latest AnTuTu score has revealed that the Mi 6 has a record-breaking score of 210,039. This was a leaked photo from a source in China. If this photo is correct, this will completely blow away the iPhone 7 Plus's score of 183,106.

Qualcomm has unveiled its fastest ever and latest chipset, the Snapdragon 835. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will reportedly have this system-on-chip. Previously, the best AnTuTu score for a smartphone powered by Qualcomm was with the Snapdragon 821. This was achieved with the OnePlus 3T and it only scored 163,578.

But the Mi 6's frivolities don't stop there allegedly. Apart from having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the Mi 6 is expected to have a bigger battery. Additionally, despite the huge upgrade in power it is expected to function with lower battery consumption and ergo longer battery life. NDTV has also reported that the Chinese brand might offer Mi 6 in two models: 128 GB and 256 GB of internal built-in storage. The Mi 6 is also expected to have a dual-lens module with a 16MP sensor.

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy 8 specs have been leaked to also feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 and an Exynos 8995 chip coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. However, it is only reported to have an onboard internal storage of 64 GB and 128 GB.

Xiaomi 2017: Mi CES 2017. The Xiaomi Mi 6 sounds too good to be true. However, there has been no official word about the smartphone. During CES 2017, the smartphone manufacturer revealed their Mi Mix as the future of their smartphones. Considering that the MWC 2017 is only a little over a month away, there was no mention of the Mi 6 at all. Instead, the Chinese company has officially stated that the Mi Mix in white will be available in a few months.

The Mi Mix is a revolutionary new concept phone with a 6.4-inch bezel-less screen, ultrasonic distance sensor, cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology, and a bottom-mounted mini selfie camera. The smartphone has a Snapdragon 821 chip, 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB internal storage.
Previously, this phone was only available in black. During the CES 2017, it was revealed that the white version will soon be available in China in the next few months. The white version will be available with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
