The Microsoft Office software suite is a collection of various programs which altogether makes for the most popular and widely used office software program in the world will soon be including Bitcoin, through the use of its spreadsheet program Excel. The revelation is shown as a part of the software suite's roadmap.

The Office 365 roadmap lists all the updates that have been considered by developers Microsoft's team for the Office 365 suite as new features rolled out as an update for the program. Features are marked in various stages of their integration into the Office software suite.

Microsoft's latest upgrade roadmap for MS office includes four entries for Bitcoin support into the four different platforms version of their popular Excel spreadsheet software. The changes allow Bitcoin data to be used in their spreadsheets and calculations making the task of doing budgeting with Bitcoins easier.

The addition of features includes transcription and translation of real-time meeting via Skype, support currency Bitcoin, extra security based on permissions allowing access to its customers, improved data capabilities of Excel and improved OneNote platform.

Globals at Microsoft, Account Executive, Martin Butler stated, "In 2017, Excel will be able to analyze, format, recognize and calculate numbers expressed in Bitcoin currency. The new feature will be available for Excel running under Android, Mac OS, Windows and iOs and will include Excel Mobile versions as well."

The Bitcoin currency has supported the changes on formatting the Windows desktop, Windows web, Android and a universal Microsoft platform. The feature is unique and is expected to be available sometime in the first half of 2017.
