2018 GMC Terrain Unveils Compact, Premium Features, Specs Revealed Here!

It has been eight years since the GMC Terrain was updated. The long time has warranted for an upgrade for the model as the 2018 GMC Terrain was revealed to become 400 pounds lighter than it used to, will be installed with enhanced engines and will be featured with a diesel option.

Last Sunday, General Motors announced at a Detroit museum that the 2018 GMC Terrain would be the herald for the brand's latest design language. It would likewise have a unique profile than other models of the brand as well as installations of aerodynamic body style. 

As reported by Automotive News, the interiors of the vehicle would have added aluminum trim installed with soft-touch materials by its walls and its instrument panels, will have a foldable seating option and expanded cargo space. Furthermore, the drivetrain would be installed with an electronic shifter that has under-floor compartments by the rear seat which hinted on greater passenger capacity.

The 2018 GMC Terrain would likewise be the brand's showcase of proven premium SUV experience which would make the model be more competitive with respect to its functionality and design, stated GMC sales and marketing vice president Duncan Aldred. The model will be the biggest of the brand's models which would have improved driving comfortability, will be more fuel-friendly, smoother handling, and enhanced overall driveability, reported Car and Driver. It would be powered by a 3.6L V-6 engine or a standard 2.4L four-cylinder which would be able to produced 182hp for the former and 301hp for the latter. 

The 2018 GMC Terrain acceleration has been clocked at 6.3sec from 0-60sec caliber, has a top speed of 118, and EPA would be 16/23mpg. Its allotted selling price was pegged at $24,995 and would have technological features such as a 7.0in touchscreen, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot feature, and the Nightfall Edition appearance package.
