Audi S8 Plus Set to Be the Leader Among Supercars Worldwide [Video]

Audi AG, a German automaker that is part of the Volkswagen Group, will soon release Audi S8 Plus, a sedan that will best other supercars plying the roads of the United States of America. The appeal lies on its power rather than at its looks although it can pass for a handsomely made car. The interior and what is under the hood tell another story as this is where the Audi S8 Plus beats its competitors to become the best among all supercars.

The Audi S8 Plus is powered by twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces more than 600 horsepower, making BMW Alpina B7 that makes 600 horsepower occupy the second place and the Mercedes-AMG S63 which produces 577 horsepower get the third place. The increased horsepower was achieved by tweaking the turbochargers, revising the timing of the valves and the installation of brand new exhaust valves, according to Digital Trends.

Aside from its phenomenal power, the Audi S8 Plus boasts an optional Bang and Olufsen Advanced Sound System. Optional means a customer may get this exceptional sound system at an additional cost. But with its 19 speakers and small tweeters, the customer gets his money's worth in terms of excellent audio. The multi-media interface can be controlled using voice commands, steering wheel controls or by touch pad, according to The Car Connection.

The Audi S8 Plus can run on several modes depending on the driver's choice. When running in comfort mode, it feels cushy and luxurious inside as the sedan does a sedate cruise. However, when switched to dynamic mode, it becomes a real monster on the road, gobbling up long distances in shorter time compared to other supercars. Its responses are deft and its ability to turn around is incredible considering its size and weight, according to Car and Driver.

With its exceptional horsepower and acceleration, the Audi S8 Plus will be a great attraction to drivers who prefer action on the road. The add-ons that come with it might raise the price higher but then, customers will discover that they are getting what they had paid for. The new upholstery option of black leather with red Arras stitching will add to the elegance of this car's interior, making it all the more attractive to buyers.
