The hottest brand in the automobile industry delivers again, this time with over-the-top slick design and production-ready technology. The Infiniti QX50 Concept has dropped early right before the Detroit Auto Show, and it is packed with outstanding and unique features.

The QX50 Concept has been around since 2007. With 14, 947 units sold through November according to CNET and they are looking to top it again next year. The QX50 Concept will feature Infiniti's next level ProPilot drive-assist systems.

"ProPilot will act as a 'co-pilot' for the driver, empowering rather than replacing them, and 'delegate' more onerous driving tasks to the car -- such as navigating stop-start traffic on the highway or keeping track of the positions of surrounding vehicles," says CNET.

The company does not state further information about the ProPilot semi-autonomous technology yet. It is expected that further details will be announced during its grand launch.

The QX50 Concept will also feature a groundbreaking variable-compression turbo of 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which is in ration between 8:1 and 14:1 for both High-Performance Driving and Light-Pedal efficiency run. It is expected to provide 268 horsepower and 288 pound-feet of torque. A 27% improvement fuel efficiency over V6 engines is expected in the QX50.

The QX50 Concept slick design offers next generation designs which exhibit Infiniti's future model adapting to more upright, two-box posture contemporary crossover designs. The brand's "Powerful Elegance" is also integrated into other models such as Q50 Coupe and QX30. The QX50 interior design details have not been revealed yet.

"With the unveiling of the QX Sports Inspiration at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show, we showed the future of Infiniti QX models. The new QX50 Concept evolves this concept further and shows how Infiniti could develop its future presence in the fastest-growing vehicle segment globally," says Roland Krueger.
