2017 Acura NSX Named Best Car of 2016; What Features Were Used As A Basis for the Selection? [VIDEO]

The 2017 Acura NSX of Honda was named Business Insider's Car of the Year in the search for the best car of 2016. Competing against famous car brands around the world, the 2017 Acura NSX won the judges' nod after they were convinced that the car complied with the three features that the judges were looking into to declare a car the best of 2016.

All participants to the Business Insider's Car of the Year award had to meet three important requirements. They must be compelling to drive, must stand apart from the competition, and must present a strong business case for its maker or creator, according to Business Insider UK. This means that aside from high performance, the winning car should also have brought revenue to its maker, which the 2017 Acura NSX did on both counts.

The 2017 Acura NSX is also known to be capable of taking both the race track and the road, without making its passengers feel nervous; unlike other fast cars that can make its passenger feel frightened because of the speed. These qualities brought another accolade to Honda when the 2017 Acura NSX was nominated for the Motor Authority Best Car to Buy Award, according to Motor Authority.

A blend of electric motor, combustion engine, and turbochargers, the 2017 Acura NSX has the capability to accelerate from 0-60mph in just three seconds, a feat that challenges other great supercars. Despite having been subjected to several tests, the car stays solid and free from rattles, according to Extreme Tech. In addition, it is agile enough to do anything, from making a smooth turn to moving swiftly down the road.

Driving the 2017 Acura NSX is relaxing and exhilarating, and with its affordable price range, this Honda creation is expected to win more awards and to make more sales in the near future.
