Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Review: 7 Things You'll Hate About This Alfa

The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is a very special car. Perhaps, in fact, one of the most special in Alfa Romeo's line. Its closest rival is the Lotus Exige and the Porsche 718 Boxster. But upon trying this popular car, it lacks equipment and comfort. Here's a list of the things you'll love to hate about the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider.

Here's a list of the things you'll love to hate about the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider.

A Ridiculous Trunk

The trunk of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider has only 105 liters capacity. You'll be lucky if you can get even a suitcase in the cabin with all the extra accessories it comes with. The front cover also does not open and to access the rear luggage compartment - located behind the central motor - it is necessary to place a support bar. So to say that their access is easy and convenient is a big lie. In similar sportscars, the Porsche 718 Cayman for example has two trunks, one at the front of the car, another in the back. These two baggage handlers have a combined capacity of about 250 liters.

Absence of Interior Storage Compartments

Unlike other sportscars, there are no interior storage compartments in the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider. The doors of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider have no gap and the glove compartment is a simple padded pocket in the front passenger seat. Yes, it has two cupholders, where any cans or drinks will fit, but that isn't enough.

That Radio Alpine

Alfa Romeo 4C Spider infotainment includes an Alpine radio single slot, similar to those that can be found in any mall for less than $200. It lacks quality and technology and was unable to synchronize with some phones. The car also has only four speakers with poor sound quality, according to Caradvice.

Absence Of Sound Insulation

The monocoque carbon fiber of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is all that lies between the drive and the noise elements outside. The sound of the engine and exhaust is indeed awesome to hear, in fact, it is considered one of the most epic engines that will be shown in The Grand Tour Episode 5, as reported by CarScoops. However, the sounds of the pebbles and other noises outside make us dread the ride.

Loose Quality

Do not expect good finishes in the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider. Although the dashboard is covered with synthetic leather and the steering wheel has a good touch, the other pieces look like something out of a Fiat. Its qualities and adjustments are disastrous, especially in air conditioning controls.

Absence Of Power Steering

The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider does not have power steering. The "resisted" direction of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider offers a torrent of sensations unparalleled in sporty driving, but in day-to-day drives it can be hard. Although the car is lighter and shorter, parking maneuvers are not pleasant. One will sweat, even allowing the car to move slightly as you turn the wheel.

The Design Of The Wheel

Nobody likes the design of the wheel of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider.

The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is indeed a car riddled with imperfections. However, at the end of the day, we would still buy it without hesitation due to its unique personality and power capacity. It is undoubtedly among the most impressive cars in 2016.
