BMW i8 Performance-Enhanced Variant, A New BMW Model To Watch Out For?

In the automobile world, one of the current talk-of-the-town vehicles is BMW i8. In line with that, a lot are wondering when will BMW decide to have an M variant available.

Speculations about BMW i8's creation got addressed when executives of BMW's M department confirmed that the firm has no plans to produce an i8 M model.

On another note, there is an ongoing interest of coming up with a variant of BMW i8 with a few performance augmentations. This platform is taken into consideration from BMW's Vierzylinder office located in Munich, Germany.

BMW's reach gives the company a handful of alternatives to go for --- one such consideration is the creation of the M Performance model. However, it seems that BMW M appears to be out of the context anymore; however, suggestions of adding a suffix after the BMW i8 name also got some significant attention.

The company ensures that they will still gain competitive advantage with any model it will launch; whatever the case may be, a BMW i8 performance-enhanced variant sounds like the most feasible option in the current brand lineup, according to a blog post on Autoevolution.

Prior to BMW i8's release, the Bavarian company earlier introduced its smaller version --- the BMW i3. It is said that this little brother of i8 will also get some retouch and variation. The newly modified version of BMW i3 is expected to be available in the market towards the later part of 2017. It is speculated to be called BMW i3s model as well, as reported on CCars.

For both variants, BMW car enthusiasts will not be able to observe drastic modifications on the straight line performance of newly retouched models. However, it will be more significant with the handling that will be both integrated to i3 and i8.

The performance-enhanced initiatives for BMW i8 and i3 will certainly make the automobile market see an upward trend in BMW's volume and sales figures for both models.
