Google Nexus 7 2016 Release Date, Leaks & Rumors [VIDEO]; The Purported Tablet's UK Price Revealed!

Despite strong rumors indicating that Google will debut their much-anticipated Nexus 7 2016 alongside their new line of Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, these claims turned out to be mere back-fence talk as the search giant did not announce any new device during the said launch event on Oct. 4.

Rumor mills have been churning strong speculations around the Nexus 7 2016 hinting that Google will debut their alleged tablet during Q4 2016. Since 2016 has not yet ended, Nexus enthusiasts are still hoping that Google will shed more light on the Nexus 7 2016 release date, specs and other details before the year ends.

Meanwhile, multiple reports centering on the Nexus 7 2016's UK release date, specs, features and price have been doing rounds online hinting that the device will be up for grabs for a price higher than £199. If rumors proved to be true, Google's 7-inch tablet built by Huawei will not be dubbed as Nexus 7.

Huawei reportedly admitted that it is currently working on a new Nexus device slated to release in 2016. Furthermore, Google ousted the HTC-made Nexus 9 from their online store teasing a new Nexus 7's impending arrival, according to PC Advisor. However, even a single leaked image of the said device has not surfaced online until now.

It's no secret that Google is bent on putting an end to their Nexus brand which implies the new tablet will bear the Pixel moniker instead. Some tech pundits, however, claim that Google will not abandon the Nexus brand as it is already popular among customers. Besides, the company will have to heavily invest more money in marketing campaigns for the new brand, according to Gig Jets.

Taking into consideration bevies of leaked files about the hardware Google is said to incorporate in their new tablet, it looks like the new tablet will arrive with a QHD AMOLED display coupled with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 SoC. It will come with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory space, and a mammoth 13MP primary camera. The new tablet is expected to run on Andromeda operating system.
