"Iron Man," Tony Stark's alter-ego, can now be experienced in a 4D ride. Hong Kong Disneyland will be the first and only one to have an "Iron Man" Experience related theme. This feature is set to open by January 2017.

"It's incredible to be doing something for the 'Iron Man' appearance at the Hong Kong Disneyland," disclosed by Stan Lee, Chairman Emeritus of Marvel Entertainment and Iron Man co-creator. He added, "the audience in Hong Kong will go crazy for this experience."

Stark will serve as a tour guide as he flies over Kowloon as "Iron Man." StarVision glasses will be required to have this full-on "Iron Man" experience.

"So we've set this up as the next Stark Expo after what he did in 2010 in New York. And he is showcasing his latest and greatest products from Stark Industries," according to Steven Spiegel. Spiegel is Walt Disney Imagineering team's executive story developer for "Iron Man."

Then there is the "Stark Expo Shop." Around 70 "Iron Man" items can be witnessed exclusively in Hong Kong Disneyland, according to the Nerdist.

"The ultimate thing is to get on this brand new Iron Wing vehicle which is essentially a really large Iron Man suit, that you and your closest friend can get into," according to Spiegel.

The Marvel inspired theme and idea took three years to build. It will be located in the Tomorrowland section of Hong Kong Disneyland, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The "Iron Man" Experience will not disappoint. "Iron Man"-themed inspired exhibits, restaurants, and shops abound in the area, according to TTG AsiaHong Kong Disneyland's associate business development manager, Travis Zhu has said that the idea has been warmly welcomed by Hong Kong's travel trade.

Ted Robledo, Walt Disney's Imagineering Creative Director, said: "We gonna get on board this brand new high-tech ship. Imagine a very large "Iron Man" suit and fly over to the new Start Tower, where we gonna see the world's largest ARC reactor - a very powerful, very valuable energy device and get an up-close look at it." Robledo mentions his favorite part, which is to "create an authentically Iron Man superhero adventure that takes place in a real place, Hong Kong."

This will be a fresh break from Disney's princesses' theme. However, Zhu is confident the new superhero theme will offer a truly different experience. On Dec 23, 2016, there will be a special ride preview. This concept deviation is perhaps an attempt to avoid competition with the newly opened Shanghai Disneyland.
