2018 BMW 2 Series Coupe First Images Show Awesome Design Changes, See Here

BMW has been busy updating their most popular compact vehicle. While it seems like they had just given new goodies to the 2017 BMW 2 Series, a recent spy photo shows that a 2018 BMW 2 Series is now almost already finished and will sport a facelift and some awesome new aesthetic.

Spy photographers have managed to catch the first units of the BMW 2 Series Coupe and Convertible being transported by a BMW truck to the facility where the Bavarian firm tests its prototypes. From the looks of it, it tells us that soon we can see the first units rolling on public roads and even testing in Nurburgring, according to Topspeed.

The most eye catchy part of these 2018 BMW 2 Series are on the part of the front and rear lights, areas where the known vinyl camouflage blind people is what has been the evolution of the compact coupe. The headlamps which have been partially covered have since received new LED sign for daytime running lights, just as the double-kidney shaped grille characteristic seems to have received a slight redesign, something very subtle. At the rear, again we realize that the headlamps receive a new light signature.

There are no alterations the bumpers but it typically receive some sort of redesign in its lines. No wonder then appear camouflaged prototypes with defenses. From outside we noticed that they have tried to hide part of the passenger compartment which suggests that some change will note on the scorecard, dashboard or center console, plus some improvements in the multimedia system, according to Auto Evolution.

It is clear that BMW did not want to delve too deeply into the restyling of its Series 2 Coupe and Cabrio format, with the Series 2 and Series 2 Active Tourer Grand Tourer models completely different despite sharing part of its name. The compact sports Germans already enjoy a round design that little or nothing can be improved without falling in to step back in its aesthetics. If something already works better and does not risk wonder.

Regarding the mechanics of the 2018 BMW 2 Series, expect some news that will surely result in better performance and greater efficiency of fuel. In this, one would wait a little longer since the details will not be revealed in depth until its launch in late 2017. The current 2 Series is priced at $33,000 which costs 218i version with three-cylinder gasoline engine 136 hp and 220 Nm of torque. On the other hand the BMW 2 Series Cabriolet is price at $40,000. Expect the 2018 versions to be higher but near these prices.
