After several revisions to its make and model, the Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG Coupe was reported to be a flop as its redesign features were labeled as a downgrade. Recent reports surfaced about fans being upset on what has become of the Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG Coupe. The front side of the car was deemed to be too wide for its build, its carbon features overly detailed, and the bottom nose of the car looked worse than its predecessor, reviews claimed.
As was reviewed by Top Gear, the three-point star badge which was placed at its shark was deemed to be an unappetizing change to the make and model. In fact, the grills being placed at the sides was considered as unappealing by critics of the Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG Coupe make and model, reported Jalopnik.
Furthermore, the rear end was described as over detailed to the point that the carbon fiber additions were unnecessary. Most of the models of the Mercedes-AMG GLE43 were deemed to be unchanged that the said model was confusing to enthusiasts.
The vehicle received the 43 badge when its specifications were likened to the subsisting GLE450 AMG along with its 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine which was rated to generate 362hp and boasted of 384lb-ft of torque. It could go from zero to 62 in 5.7sec and was recorded to have a top speed of 155mph, reported Motor Authority.
Furthermore, the vehicle is available with a nine-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drive feature, has AMG-specific suspension, and was installed with upgraded braking and steering features.
With the updated Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG Coupe, its engine specifications, and other features were up to par compared to market competitors. However, as per vehicle reviews, car enthusiasts were unimpressed with how over detailed the design was. What do you think?
