Honda Civic Type R Makes Its Debut, Specs, Release Date Revealed Here!

The brand-new Honda Civic Type R model made its North American debut during SEMA 2016 bannered with "Civicpalooza." The model's accessorized and fine-tuned vehicles were on display for EK fans at the event. What are the specs, price, and official release date?

Ridgeline and Honda Powersports joined forced to create a project which will be part of the 10th Generation Civic Racing vehicles which would likewise form part of the 2016 Red Bull Global Rallycross Civic Coupe and Civic Coupe Team Honda Racing West Endurance Racer. This automobile was revealed to be the Honda Civic Type R.

During the 2016 SEMA Show, it was unveiled that Honda would be one of the brands which would cater to the North American automobile market with a new Honda Civic Type R prototype which was produced in Paris, reported Honda.

The Specs

The Honda Civic Type R Prototype has been enhanced with muscular body styling and was installed with modifications that improved its aerodynamic performance. The exterior has been brushed with an aluminum-effect finish which was a first characteristic of the franchise. By the front, the vehicle showcased a carbon fiber splitter and was designed with a sporty red accent like. It was also installed with slatted ducts and diamond mesh inserts for the air intakes.

Other Models For Honda At 2016 SEMA

The vehicle will be able to generate at least 300hp with a front-wheel drive feature and will basically be considered as a racing car, according to TFL Car.

In other news, Sage Marie, the senior manager of public relations at American Honda manifested that the prototype is as close to what the company has in store for 2018.

The 2018 Honda Civic Type R prototype would debut at the 2016 SEMA Show by Nov. 4, 2016, and would also be showcased at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this year.
