2018 Audi RS5 Spy photos and Videos

After several spy photos, both in Spain and Germany which swarmed the internet a few weeks ago, today a video where one can see the 2018 Audi RS5 testing at the Nurburgring has leaked on the internet as well. It sounds brutal, looks brutal and moves in an impressive manner. It is rumored that it will achieve 500 hp and would give the BMW M3 a hard time in the automotive market.

The new Audi RS5 is still covered with camouflage, but one can already see a very similar aesthetic to which showed the latest prototype of the Audi S5 2017 which surprised spy photographers because aficionados expect that the new RS5 will get its own look. Fear not, a more in - depth look reveals significant details that indicate that this is not an Audi S model, but is actually a whole RS. An immediate look at its fins, which is considerably bulkier is enough to determine immediately that this is an RS, according to Carscoops.

It is also clear with the new spy video that the future 2018 Audi RS5 will sport a more muscular image than their brethren in range, with a sportier bumpers, steps more pronounced wheel arches, large alloy wheels and rear that, unlike the surprised by spy photographers, the prototype will have two large oval exhaust outlets.

2018 Audi RS5 Engine

As for the engine, everything points to mount a 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 which is already mounted in the S5 - instead of the 4.2-liter V8 of the previous generation - but with a corresponding increase in power that would bring its performance up to 500hp. The goal is to lose time as the now generation takes 4.6 seconds to reach 100 kilometers per hour and the Sportback takes 4.7 seconds. In addition, Audi engineers have developed a new suspension for the RS5 to make it the most dynamic in the range.

It is also possible that would work with Quattro drive system and an automatic dual - clutch gearbox, according to Autocar

It is still early to know when new Audi RS5 will hit the market, but it is believed that the model could make its first public appearance early next year, perhaps at the 2017 Detroit Motor Show to be held in January or during the 2017 Hall ofGeneva to be held in March. Either of these events would be valid for presentation and distribution will start later next year.
