Jeremy Clarkson's 'The Grand Tour' To Disappoint Fans, Did Host Peak With 'Top Gear?'

The Grand Tour featuring the old Top Gear trio of Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond is all set to premiere on November 18. And the opening scene is already being considered to be the most expensive to be broadcast ever, one that is believed to even give a James Bond film a run for its money.

As Express reported, the opening scene is priced a mammoth £2.5 million is said to feature no less than 150 cars, 2,000 acrobats as well as six jet planes.

While that is enough to set our pulse racing, what has come as a shock or surprise is that the show will follow the rather conventional format of weekly television broadcasts where there will be a new episode launched every week.

This again is quite in contrast to the usual process of streaming programs that allowed viewers to watch their favorite shows anytime they wanted. Streaming the shows on popular services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and such also led to the concept of binge watching, something that enabled viewers to watch the entire episode at one go, ArtOfGears mentioned.

Not so with the new 'The Grand Tour' show that seems to bring back the nostalgia of waiting for the precise moment when our favorite shows would begin airing. It used to be like one has to be ready for the show and if missed, it would be gone forever.

Another restriction that still applies is the show will only be available on Amazon Prime. What that means is that those who aren't Prime members will have to rely on the internet to catch up with the mega show.

However, as Express pointed out, those eager to watch the show in sparkling HD quality will need to have a broadband connection of 3.5 Mbps at least. This, in turn, will keep the average rural British populations out of the fun considering that the best internet speed they can now avail of is much less than that.
